The City of Dalton is currently accepting applications for a Single Axle Truck Driver. This is a full-time position in the Public Works Department Landscaping Division with a starting pay rate to be determined based on experience. This position involves driving a single axle dump truck to transport landscaping materials or other debris to various sites; assisting with right of way maintenance activities, including the use of chainsaws or other landscaping tools, mowing, weed trimming, herbicide application, tree removal and maintenance, and working from a bucket truck as needed; performing preventative maintenance work on assigned vehicle, and other duties as assigned. To be considered for employment Applicants must have a valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License.
