The City of Dalton is currently accepting applications for the position of Scale Operator for the Dalton Whitfield Solid Waste Authority (Landfill). This is a full-time position at the Old Dixie Hwy. landfill located at 4189 Old Dixie Hwy. 

This position will be responsible for weighing vehicles in and out of the landfill, gathering and processing the necessary information. Applicants should have good communication skills, good customer service skills, and a high school education or GED. The applicant should have basic math skills.  Candidate must be at least 18 years old and pass a drug test and background check.  Starting salary range: $18.50 per hour.  Excellent benefits and stable work environment.

The regular work schedule will be one week on one week off.  The normal daily schedule will be Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
