Applications are currently being accepted for the full-time position of Buildings/Grounds Technician at the Dalton Convention Center. Qualified candidates will be responsible for maintaining and making repairs to the facility with routine landscaping and grounds maintenance, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Additionally, qualified candidates will be responsible for operating automotive and mechanical equipment, including forklifts and mower, and operate power tools. This position is a non-exempt hourly position that requires ability to work flexible hours during daytime, nights, weekends and some holidays. Schedule times and days off vary based on event requirements. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license, be 18 years or older, have high school diploma/GED, one year of general maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Candidate needs to be fluent in English with bilingual as a plus. Salary starts at $18.50 per hour and with potential to receive an increase after the 90 day probation period based on performance.  A City of Dalton application must be filled out and received by the job closing date of October 17, 2025 at 5:00 pm EST.
