Applications are currently being accepted for the full-time position of Operations at the Dalton Convention Center. Qualified candidates will be responsible for all events setups, such as chairs, tables, audio visual equipment under the direction of the Operations Supervisor. Additionally, qualified candidates will be responsible for operating automotive and mechanical equipment, including fork lifts. The candidates will be responsible for providing manual labor with the ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs during job responsibilities. Must be able to follow specific verbal and written instructions and display the ability to supervise semi-skilled workers. This position is a non-exempt hourly position that requires availability during daytime, nights, weekends, and some holidays. Schedule times and days off vary based on event requirements. Must be able to work flexible hours. The candidate can have any combination of education and experience equivalent to the completion of high school. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. Salary starts at $18.50 per hour and will receive an increase after the 90 day probation period based on performance.
